Ubisoft announced today that they will be bringing Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier to gamers in 2010, resurrecting the Ghost Recon franchise after a three year hiatus.

Being developed by the fine Advanced Warfighter vets over at Ubisoft Paris, Future Soldier promises to bring us “cutting-edge technology, prototype high-tech weaponry, and state-of-the-art single-player and multiplayer modes.”

And according to one of Ubisoft's Twitter pages, Ubisoft will indeed be bringing Future Soldier to the PS3, along with the 360, with the “same experience, same development team and same release date.” Details of a PC version will come out on a later date.

A multiplayer beta is being scheduled for this summer, with invitations coming with the purchase of another Ubisoft title, Splinter Cell: Conviction, but the offer is only good for the 360 version of the game thus far.

Look out for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier this holiday 2010.

Update: Ubisoft's just confirmed it's developing a Ghost Recon title specifically for Wii. Not much else was said, but it will be a different game then Future Soldier.
